The European Union strongly condemns the execution of Steve Henley, which was carried out on February 4, in Riverbend prison, Nashville, Tennessee. Mr. Henley was sentenced to death for the 1985 killings of Fred and Edna Stafford. Since that time, Mr. Henley had maintained his innocence. In fact, he was indicted based on the testimony of his codefendant. |
