On 10 April 2015 the European Union took note of the commitment of several states to align to changes in the European Union's sanctions against Côte d'Ivoire, in accordance with the Council of the European Union Decision 2015/202/CFSP adopted on 9 Fabruary 2015, amending Council Decision 2010/656/CFSP.

The Council Decision introduces an additional derogation from the prohibition on the sale, supply, transfer and export of equipment which might be used for internal repression.
