Press Release: Declaration by the High Representative on behalf of the European Union on the alignment of certain third countries with Council Decision 2013/186/CFSP amending Council Decision 2012/739/CFSP concerning restrictive measures against Syria

The High Representative, Catherine Ashton on 24 May 2013, on behalf of the European Union, welcomed the decision by certain third countries to conform to the Council Decision 2013/186/CFSP concerning restrictive measures against Syria.

Council Decision 2013/186/CFSP introduces derogations under certain restrictive measures with a view to helping the Syrian civilian population.
