Press Release: Danuta Hübner welcomes prompt submission of Romanian plan and priorities for Cohesion policy investment 2007-2013

On 26 February 2007 regional policy Commissioner, Danuta Hübner, discussed with the Romanian authorities their strategic framework for Cohesion policy investment in Romania during 2007-2013 submitted together with their operational programmes within a month of accession. In her meeting in Brussels with the Romanian European Integration Minister Anca Boagiu, the Commissioner noted that the new Cohesion policy amounts to the biggest investment in the economic and social modernisation in the history of the European Union and noted that there is a lot of hard work in the coming months to make sure that the new resources which are now becoming available will make a real difference for the citizen and the regions.
