Press Release: Danuta Hübner meets the Presidents of the outermost regions in the context of the partnership between the Commission and these regions

On 7 July 2006 Regional Policy Commissioner Danuta Hübner met Messrs Victorin Lurel (President of the Guadeloupe Regional Council and chairman in 2006 of the Conference of Presidents of the Outermost Regions), Pierre Vergès (President of the Réunion Regional Council), Alfred Marie Jeanne (President of the Martinique Regional Council), Antoine Karam (President of the Guyana Regional Council), Adan Martin (President of the Regional Government of the Canaries), Brazão de Castro (Director-General for European Affairs of the Region of Madeira) and Vasco Cordeiro (General Secretary to the Presidency of the Azores Regional Government).
