Press Release: Cyprus: It is pointless for Turkey to engage in EU talks without recognising Cyprus, says EP President

The President of the European Parliament Mr Josep Borrell Fontelles said that Cyprus had to be reunited the soonest possible since every day that passed by rendered a settlement more difficult to reach. He also noted that it was pointless for Turkey to be negotiating with the European Union without recognising all its member states, including the Republic of Cyprus
