Press Release: Consultations on options for future developing of European Schools system show support of the EP to the Commission’s approach

The European Parliament on 11 September 2005 adopted at its plenary session in Strasburg the report of Mary Honeyball (PSE) on the European Schools. This report was the contribution of the European Parliament to the consultation process launched by the Commission in its Communication of July 2004 on the options for developing the European Schools system. European Schools had been created in the 1950s to educate the children of staff at the EU's institutions.
