Press Release: Company law: Commission welcomes Council adoption of a Directive simplifying and modernising the provision of company information

The European Commission has welcomed the Council's definitive adoption on 11 June 2003 of modifications to the First Company Law Directive (68/151/EEC).

The modified Directive is intended to make company information more easily and rapidly available to the public while at the same time simplifying the disclosure formalities required from companies.
