Press Release: Commission’s record €13.1 billion investment plan for transport endorsed by Member States

On 10 July 2015, the European Commission's €13.1 billion investment plan for the transport sector advanced one step further after EU Member States approved the list of projects to receive funding under the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF). The CEF coordination committee, composed of representatives of the 28 Member States, issued a positive opinion on the proposal put forward by the Commission on 29 June.

The European Commission was scheduled to formally adopt the funding decision by the end of July 2015. Individual project grant agreements were to be prepared by INEA and signed with the project beneficiaries thereafter. Funds would start being disbursed as of the last quarter of 2015.
