Press Release: Commissioners Ferrero-Waldner and Mandelson to visit Moscow, 21st March

Preview of a visit to Moscow on 21 March 2005 of European Commissioner for External Relations and Neighbourhood Policy, Benita Ferrero-Waldner and European Commissioner for Trade, Peter Mandelson. The Commissioners were to hold bilateral talks with senior members of the Russian government, as well as members of the Duma, and industrialists. The chief objective of their visit was to accelerate progress in the current negotiations for a package of Road Maps to create four 'common spaces', in the fields of the Economy, External Security, Freedom, Security and Justice and Education, Research and Culture.
