Press Release: Commissioner Olli Rehn to visit Zagreb and Skopje

European Commissioner for Enlargement, Olli Rehn, visited Croatia and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia on 25 and 26 November 2004. On his first visit in his new capacity the Commissioner aimed to establish as quickly as possible personal contact with the political leadership of these countries. Further visits to the region are planned for the following weeks and months. He intended to bring the message of a clear European perspective for the countries of the Western Balkans, and to emphasis the importance of regional co-operation.
