Press Release: Commissioner Nielson to visit Bolivia from 19-23 November 2001

The European Commissioner in charge of development and humanitarian aid, Mr Poul Nielson, would carry out an official visit to Bolivia from 19 to 23 November 2001. The 4 day trip would include three days of field visits to EC projects throughout the country and finish with meetings with members of the government and international donors in La Paz.

The main aim of the visit was to review the implementation of EC programmes on the ground as well as with the relevant Bolivian Ministers. Mr Nielson will also meet representatives of the EU member states and other international donors, as well as non-governmental organisations (NGOs). On the eve of his departure.
