Press Release: Commissioner Louis Michel joins High Level Panel on restructuring the UN

Louis Michel, the European Commissioner for Development and Humanitarian Aid, was to join Prime Ministers and Ministers from around the globe at a High Level Panel to take forward UN reform on 4-6 April 2006. Kofi Annan, the UN Secretary General, had appointed the 15 member panel on 16 February 2006 to recommend how the UN’s work in development, humanitarian assistance and environment be restructured.
