Press Release: Commissioner Hübner meets the Committee on State Administration and Local Authorities of the Seimas of Lithuania

Commissioner Danuta Hübner met a delegation of Members of the Lithuanian Parliament led by Dr Jonas Jagminas, Chairman of the Committee on State Administration and Local Authorities, on 6 June 2007. Lithuania was among the first Member States to have its national strategy for cohesion policy for 2007-2013 adopted by the Commission in April 2007. Negotiations on the operational programmes, which will translate this strategy into concrete actions are well advanced, and it is expected that the adoption procedure can begin before the summer break.
