Press Release: Commissioner Benita-Ferrero Waldner in Algiers

Benita Ferrero-Waldner, Commissioner for External Relations and European Neighbourhood Policy, visited Algeria on 26-27 June 2005 to discuss the relaunch of political dialogue in the light of the ratification of the Association Agreement in March 2005. In meetings with President Abdelaziz Bouteflika and Foreign Affairs Minister Mohamed Bedjaoui, she discussed specific steps to be taken with a view to fully exploiting the potential of the Association Agreement.
