Press Release: Commission welcomes report from EP Committee on Future Financing

The European Commission on 12 Many 2005 warmly welcomed the report of the Temporary Committee of the European Parliament on the Financial Perspectives 2007-2013 chaired by President Borrell. The Committee's report, adopted earlier in the same week, was to be debated by the full European Parliament at Strasbourg in June 2005 and was to form the basis of the Parliament's position in the negotiations. The Financial Perspectives were set up on the basis of an Inter-Institutional Agreement between the EU's three main institutions.
