On 2.2.00 the European Commission called for a sustained and concentrated communication campaign for the final phase before the changeover to the euro. In a Communication to the Council and the European Parliament prepared by Pedro Solbes, EU Commissioner for Economic and Monetary Affairs and Viviane Reding, EU Commissioner for Education and Culture, the Commission updated the priorities and the strategy of the campaign for the introduction of the euro. Companies, particularly SMEs, the general public and non-participant countries will be at the focus of this campaign over the next two years. |
