The European Commission decided on 28 January 2010 to close infringement proceedings against the Czech Republic following its successful implementation of EU rules on gender equality in occupational social security schemes. The cases had been opened because national legislation was incompatible with the EU's Directives on equal treatment for men and women in occupational social security schemes (96/97/EC and 86/378/EEC). |
