The European Commission on 11 January 2005 expressed the view that Luxembourg's public finance was fundamentally sound even if some restraint in spending might be advisable. This followed the assessment of the update of the stability programme of Luxembourg for the period 2004-2007 in accordance with EU budgetary surveillance rules. |
