The European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC) and the European Commission DG ENTR have recently signed a grant agreement covering the development of a European Smart House Code of Practice and the establishment and operation of a Smart House Open Forum. The overall objective of the project is to develop and sustain convergence and interoperability of systems, services and devices for Smart Houses that will provide the European citizen with the increased functionality, accessibility, reliability and security that a Smart House, with common and open architecture, will deliver in an expanding broadband infrastructure throughout Europe. |
