Press Release: Bresso report on Wallström Plan D and communication policy set to call for more focus on regional media (CONST, 7 April)

Preview of a meeting of the Committee of the Regions’ Commission for Constitutional Affairs (CONST) on Friday, 7 April 2006. One of the main topics under discussion was to be a draft report by Mercedes Bresso, President of Piedmont, Italy, in response to Commissioner Margot Wallström’s White Paper on communication policy and ‘Plan D’ for Democracy, Dialogue and Debate. The CONST meeting was also to discuss issues arising from the ‘period of reflection’, launched by EU leaders following the rejection of the EU Constitutional Treaty in France and the Netherlands.
