Bomb technicians from all EU countries and the United States of America joined together for the first time, in October 2010, to participate in specialised training to increase their expertise and knowledge on the illicit use of explosives. The participants worked on improving post–blast investigation techniques, by sharing experience gained worldwide through thousands of incidents involving improvised explosive devices (IEDs) planted by terrorists. |
