Press Release: Athens: Ministers put quality, intercultural dimension and democratic citizenship at the heart of the Council of Europe’s Education programme

Education Ministers from the 48 states party to the Council of Europe's Cultural Convention met in Athens from 10 to 12 November 2003 for their 21st standing conference. In their final declaration, they stressed the importance of quality of education, and of making teaching and learning democracy and intercultural education key components of educational policy reform.
