A five year strategy for financial assistance to Albania was adopted by the European Commission on 19 December 2001. Over the next three years, 2002-2004, รถ 145.5 million has been earmarked for Albania to finance this strategy. The priorities set in the strategy are: Justice and Home Affairs, Administrative Capacity Building, Economic and Social Development, Environment and Natural Resources, and Democratic Stabilisation. These are key goals of the Stabilisation and Association Process, the cornerstone of the EU's policy towards the Western Balkans. |
