Ireland's Minister for European Affairs, Dick Roche, told the European Parliament, on 4 May 2004, that the new Constitutional Treaty was vital for the Union's future and 'good for the Member States of the Union'. He concluded by saying that the Irish Presidency was committed to doing everything in its power to ensure a successful outcome to the continuing negotiations. |
