The European Commission approved on 6 May 2010 an application from Ireland for assistance from the European Globalisation adjustment Fund (EGF). The grant of €2,570,853 will help 598 redundant workers in the crystal glass industry to find new jobs. The application will now go to the European Parliament and the Council of the EU for agreement. |
