According to figures released by the Office for Harmonisation in the Internal Market (OHIM) in February 2009, Italy and Germany appeared to be the major markets for Community trade marks least hit by the global financial crisis during the final quarter of 2008. Italian applications were down 4% compared with the same quarter in 2007, and German demand was down 2%. There were much sharper drops in US, UK, Spanish and French applications. |
