Upon the invitation of the Sultanate of Oman, the current chair of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, the Nineteenth Session of the GCC-EU Joint Council, established in accordance with the Cooperation Agreement between the countries parties to the Charter of the Cooperation Council for the Arab of the Gulf on one hand, and the European Community on the other, was held in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman on 29 April 2009.
