The main goal of this study is to contribute to the Commission’s review during 2006 of the Regulatory Framework governing electronic communications in the European Union. Research focused on the following questions: How well has the existing Regulatory Framework fared in realising the Community’s objectives, and what changes might be warranted? How is the sector likely to evolve, and do any of these changes have implications for the appropriate regulatory environment? The study also sets forth a number of recommendations. This report was prepared by Hogan & Hartson LLP and Analysys Consulting Ltd for the European Commission. |
