Poland ‘must shape up for Europe’

Preview of the European Commission's annual report for 2003 on the readiness of the applicant countries to join the EU, due to be published 5 November 2003. The Commission will release the 3 Regular Reports on the progress towards accession of Bulgaria, Romania and Turkey for 2003, accompanied by a Strategy paper. Simultaneously with the Regular Reports, the Commission will release 10 Comprehensive Country Monitoring Reports on the acceding countries, accompanied by a summary Comprehensive Monitoring Report covering the main overall findings.
