EUObserver writes that Pirate' parties from around the EU agreed in April 2012 to campaign as one bloc and to try and form a Political Group in the European Parliament in the 2014 elections.

The surprise success of the German Pirate Party was fuelling a pan-European trend. Pirates from 20 countries gathered in Prague to cement an international network - but they are still a long way off from establishing a Europe-wide party.
