On 28.2.00 the UK Government launched the Pet Travel Scheme (PETS) pilot scheme. From that date, pet dogs and cats from western Europe that meet the rules of the scheme are allowed to enter the United Kingdom without the need to go into quarantine for six months. The scheme also applies to pet dogs and cats leaving the UK for western Europe subsequently to return later. |
