Dutch pension funds have warned that proposed European Union regulation of hedge funds and private equity would cost them €1.5bn a year, adding to increasingly vocal criticism of the draft law from investors across Europe. In a strongly-worded letter to the European Parliament’s Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs, 10 of the biggest Dutch pension funds with €500bn of assets said the proposed EU law would 'have an undue negative impact' on their industry. |
