Pascal Lamy visits all four Mercosur countries

Following from the EU-Mercosur trade ministerial meeting on 12 November 2003 and shortly after the adoption of the EU strategy to revive the Cancun talks, EU Trade Commissioner Pascal Lamy travelled to all four Mercosur countries between 10 and 16 December 2003.

High on the agenda were discussions on a region-to-region Association Agreement, Mercosur progress in regional integration as well as the Doha Development Agenda, where the EU is pushing for early re-starting of talks.
