Summary: Survey commissioned by the European Parliament and published in February 2021 on the views of public opinion concerning the European Union (EU). Further information: The Parlemeter 2020 examines European citizens’ views on their life during the pandemic and their personal outlook for the coming year. This report gives insight into citizens’ views on the role and priorities of the European Parliament as well as on the image of the European Union and their perception of the EU membership benefits. The interviews for this Eurobarometer were conducted face to face in most of the countries. Due to COVID-19 restrictions in force during fieldwork, face-to-face interviews were complemented in some Member States with online interviews. For the same reason, in a number of countries all interviews had to be conducted online. |
