Panorama of transport. 2007 edition

This publication presents a statistical analysis of transport in the European Union, which was recently enlarged to include Bulgaria and Romania, as well as in the EFTA and candidate countries. Some comparisons with the US and Japan have been made when possible. Alongside traffic details (vehicle movements) and transport as such (movements of people and goods), the analysis also considers infrastructure, resources, transport as a separate sector of the economy, safety, and the impact on energy consumption and the environment.
