On the 7 July 2016, the Council of the European Union announced the intention to prolong the mandate of the European Union police mission for the Palestinian Territories (EUPOL COPPS) and as well the border assistance for the Rafah crossing point (EU BAM Rafah) until 30 June 2017. Both missions are supporting the EU efforts in Palestinian state building. |
