Local partnerships given greater control of European grant allocations. The (UK) DTI has announced that local partnerships are to be given greater control over the allocation of European structural funds in England. The £160m of funds reserved for the Regional Challenge competition will be restored to the regional monitoring committees in eligible regions for local allocation.
