The Commission has issued a statement expressing satisfaction with its investigation by its competition authorities into prices for international phone calls charged by seven dominant telephone operators. Positive action is said to taken place in Finland, Austria and Portugal as a result of the investigation. The Commission has also announced that it is to close its investigation into mobile and fixed telephony prices following significant reductions throughout the EU. |
