Construction in dustry. The Commission has adopted a Communication on the competitiveness of the European construction industry. The Commission has identified four strategic objectives aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of the sector: to develop a coherent quality policy for the sector; to improve the regulatory environment; to improve the provision of education and training; to reorientate and reinforce research and development.
