MEPs voted on 12 December in favour of the two new commissioners from Romania and Bulgaria. Leonard Orban and Meglena Kuneva, each won just under 600 votes from the 732 MEPs. The European Commission has delayed adopting a proposal aimed at cleaning up member states’ patchwork of different rules for copyright levies on blank recording media and digital music file players such as Apple’s iPod. |
