During her visit, she met Gebran Bassil, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants of Lebanon to reaffirm the support of the European Union for Lebanon. She outlined that this support is on one hand a political support to accompany the peace process and the democratic procedures and on the other hand a migration support to help Lebanon to tackle with the arrival of refugees. On this topic, she reminded that the European Union gave more than 1.1 billion euros to Lebanon, out of which about 800 million dedicated specifically to the support of the Syrian refugees and the Lebanese hosting communities.
