Open for business…but not as usual

Sharing research information via a better open-access publishing model could save Europe’s higher education sector hundreds of millions of euros a year. This alone is enough to take your breath away, but the benefits go well beyond that. Open access to new research results could inspire greater innovation throughout the EU as researchers and developers make better use of their time by basing their work on the best research done and not just on what their libraries can afford.
