In its submission to the UK Government’s Balance of Competence Review on EU free movement, Open Europe argues that EU free movement and social security rules should be reformed in order to ensure that business and individuals can continue to benefit from the free movement of labour, while national governments should have greater flexibility to safeguard and develop their own welfare systems and public services. |
