Features published before that date are still available via an archive website (see related url hyperlinks).For reasons that had yet to be clarified, a small oil tanker Agia Zoni II sank southwest of the port of Piraeus on the 10 September 2017. A black oil slick went on to cover the water off the beaches in the south of Athens (the Athens’ Argo-Saronic gulf). Greek papers criticised the authorities for failing to acknowledge the danger and describe what this environmental disaster meant for the region.
