OECD Yearbook 2013. Better policies for better lives.

People are the focus of the third edition of the OECD Yearbook, which looks at some of the key challenges that have resulted from over five years of global economic turmoil. OECD experts are joined by leaders from government, business, labour, academia and civil society to examine pressing questions such as:

•What can be done about growing inequality?
•Where will a sustainable, job-rich, recovery come from?
•Which policies can bring the long-term unemployed back to work?
•Will today’s generation of young job-seekers suffer the effects of the crisis their entire working lives?
•Can we still combat climate change and what policies can help people deal with the challenges?
•Can we avert another food crisis?
•How can we arrest declining trust in our institutions?

The OECD Yearbook 2013 also presents country snapshots for 40 economies with data and commentary from selected OECD publications.
