The publication is a product of the Open Society Institute – Sofia within the European Policies Initiative (EuPI) and the project 'The EU New Member States as Agenda Setters
in the Enlarged European Union'. This EuPI has been implemented in close partnership with EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy, with project funding provided by the
Open Society Institute – Sofia.

The objective has been to map the positions and level of activity of the ten new EU Member States on a number of issues on the EU agenda; identifying the factors and
drives behind these positions; looking at the level of political and public consensus and the influence of major stakeholders; outlining coalition patterns within the EU and, finally, trying to provide an outlook on possible change of these positions.

In addition to the main composite report, there are separate reports for each of the ten Eastern and Central European countries covered. The full text of these reports can be found through the 'Related url' links.
