Norway bans deepwater oil drilling

Norway will not allow any deepwater oil and gas drilling in new areas until the investigation into the explosion and spill in the US Gulf of Mexico is complete, Terje Riis-Johansen, the Nordic country’s energy minister, said on the 8 June 2010.
