North Sea ‘needs joined-up thinking’

Scientists have drawn up a Fisheries Ecosystem Plan for the North Sea and argue the Sea needs to be managed as a complete ecosystem if fish stocks and fishing livelihoods are to be maintained for the future. The Plan was revealed in September 2005 at the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (Ices) conference in Aberdeen.
