The UN Secretary-General on 14 August 2006, informed the UN Security Council of his intention to appoint Mr. Joachim Rücker as his Special Representative (SRSG) and Head of the United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) as of 1 September 2006.
